Charleston Longitude & Latitude Hand Died Indigo Pillow

$ 49.95

These hand died beauties are made here in SC. The rich indigo blue is hand died and this makes a perfect decorator throw pillow or gift for the Charleston native longing to find their way back home.

~ A little history of Indigo in SC...Indigo was first cultivated in SC by Eliza Lucas Pinckney during the mid 1700's. Pinckney is also credited with helping indigo become the state's main export crop and using it as dye for the blue coats during the American Revolution. Indigo still holds the honor as South Carolina's state color and is prominent in the state flag. It is with great pride that we pay homage to our state and Pinckney by using natural indigo to hand dye our Palmetto Flour Sack Towels. ~
